FMA's 25th Anniversary

There will be a gala dinner on Tuesday 25th June and the conference will be a full day event on Wednesday 26th June. Please note the AGM will take place at its usual time of year in September.

For this very special occasion we are inviting our founders and all our Vice-Presidents; this will provide us with a unique opportunity to thank them for their hard work over the years on our behalf. Among the distinguished guests who will be joining us, Cherie Blair QC is attending as Vice President, and she will be saying a few words to mark the occasion.
 
At our Back to the Future: Mediation Then and Now Conference we have a wonderful programme for you, which will aim both to look back at our achievements over the last 25 years, and to prepare all of us for the many challenges ahead. More information will follow later, but we can reveal that Lisa Parkinson, one of the founders of FMA, will be delivering the very first John Cornwell lecture. As many of you know, John Cornwell, another of our founders and also the founder of Resolution, died very recently, but his extraordinary legacy to the profession lives on, and is going to be commemorated by us annually in the form of a lecture in his honour. Lisa is delivering the very first of these lectures at John’s special request. The conference will be opened by Lord Wilson; this is his last year as President, and we know that many of you will want to thank him in person for all his work on our behalf; he has been an extraordinary friend to FMA over the years. To close the conference, in this, our anniversary year, we want to finish on a celebratory note, and are therefore holding a drinks reception, to give all of us a last chance to toast FMA, and to find out more about the people we have shared the conference with, from new colleagues to old friends. Please do join us for this joyous finale!
 
The Gala dinner is £73 (incl. VAT) and is open to members and non-members alike.

There will be an early bird rate for the conference that will end on Friday 12 April 2013. Prices are below:

Early Bird Rate: Non-Member: £282 (incl. VAT)

The conference will award 5 CPD points. There are no CPD points attached to the dinner.
